Metro Brokers Number one

MetroBrokersTV: Hi and welcome to Metro Brokers TV. I am Scott Shields, the Communication and Marketing Director for Metro Brokers and I am joined today in the studio with Robby McClure. Robby, thanks for coming down and talking with us today. We appreciate it.

Robby McClure: It is good to be here.

MetroBrokersTV: So, tell us about... where are you with Metro Brokers? What office location are you in? <watch video>

Robby McClure: We are in the Lakewood office. It is 3000 Youngfield Street over in Lakewood, Colorado, just west of Denver.

MetroBrokersTV: And I know that you are very successful in what you are doing. How do you keep on top of the game? Do you have a special niche? Do you have a trick of the trade that keeps you going?

Robby McClure: You know, right now, most of my business is coming through foreclosures. So, most of my stuff comes through a bank. They will email us and tell us they have a foreclosure and we will then check on that foreclosure and that is where 90% of my business comes from. The other 10% comes from past clients or referrals.

MetroBrokersTV: Referrals.

Robby McClure: Yeah.

MetroBrokersTV: Where are you working in? I know you said your office is in Lakewood, but where are you doing your deals? Are you doing it everywhere or?

Robby McClure: Yeah, we are pretty much everywhere. We are from Parker through Denver, through Fort Collins, Fort Logan. We are pretty much all over the place.

MetroBrokersTV: Wow. So, wherever there is something to be done you are going to go into it.

Robby McClure: Yeah. We mainly [phonetic] won't pass up a listing unless for some reason we just can't get in the MLS the general for that area.

MetroBrokersTV: Recently, you just received an award with the Denver Board of Realtors. Can you tell us more about your achievement that you and your father together received?

Robby McClure: Yeah, we received the Top Team Sides. I believe we sold 241 properties or we did 241 sides in 2007.

MetroBrokersTV: Both buyers and sellers?

Robby McClure: Yes and I think the total was 41 million dollars.

MetroBrokersTV: For those people that are watching us right now, what is your advice to them since you have had such a great successful year? Can you give them any advice or insights on how to make them to have a successful year?

Robby McClure: You know, I just, I probably wouldn't have been in this position if it wasn't for my dad. He saw the market coming this way and kind of steered us in the flying out to California when no one else wanted to do that. We were the ones flying out there and meeting asset managers and banks and telling them that we are interested in managing their properties if they did go into foreclosure. Agents here thought we were crazy. Thought it was too much work, you didn't get paid the full commission, you had the responsibility of taking care of the properties, and babysitting them, and so we just kept chasing business until finally we got in the door and with the foreclosure market, that is... that is the hardest part is getting in the door. As far as regular real estate, I just think that if you keep in constant contact with your clients, no matter if you sold them a house a year ago or five years ago, always just remind them that you are still in the business and you will do well.

MetroBrokersTV: What do you like about Metro Brokers? What are the best benefits you see about being a Metro Broker?

Robby McClure: I like the freedom of being self employed, the flexibility of being on my own hours, and I think that the offices are smaller, which I feel that you get a lot more done.

MetroBrokersTV: Well, great. Thank you for coming down today and joining us. We really appreciate it. You did Metro Brokers and the Denver Board of Realtors proud. We are all happy for you. That is another great session here at Metro Brokers TV. For more information about Metro Brokers, just go to metrobrokerstv.com.
